Looks good. How do you stop it rotating? Can you still move the screen?

If you look closely you can just see one of the two thumbscrews that stop the mount rotating.
I will look at the effect of lowering the screen later tonight.

Skinneroo, if you'll look back to page 5 of this thread I solved the tension issue with a couple of tie wraps. Just the right amount of clicks and you'll be able to adjust it up or down as the angle of the sun affects the view and still keep it from rotating. Take it for a test ride to ensure the right amount of tension, then snip off the ends with a razor knife or side cutters. The windscreen will not go to the lower position, but as for me, I always leave it up. Inexpensive fix with optimal adjust ability and not too distracting.

Stick.

It looks like we have very similar solutions. Do your thumb screws also allow a degree of adjustment allowing the GPS to sit under the screen and also for the reservoirs to clear the bottom of the GPS?

I think the reservoirs are well clear,.

Fugly, you're the man.
It does foul on the clutch res.
Will have to turn most of the taper from the rh side. It won't look as neat, hoping my mk2 will address that.
I was thinking, you don't really need the chunky locking mech, the nav will mount on the centre portion alone.
It will be secure,as in falling off, but more attractive to the casual thief.
Be easier to remove though and not leave you tempted to walk away with it fitted.

Seems a bit of a compromise that, so I will persevere

Hi Skinneroo,

With my units I set the arm length and angle to a point where they allow the GPS to clear the reservoirs and also sit under the screen in the lowest screw mounts and lowest setting. The bottom of the GPS is well clear of the clocks so hoping it will also give a clear view of the 1250 TFT screen.

The production units should be here the end of next week so will be borrowing a 1250 pretty soon after!

Ignore the odd length bolts the appropriate ones are now sourced, had to make do with what I could find

Got my Nav v back from Garmin Yesterday, yay.
Tried it on the mount. It only clears both reservoirs when in a less than ideal position...bugger!

Waiting for some ally bar to be delivered, so I can get on with mk2.

I actually enjoy tinkering like this... sad lad.

No not really, DHL say they are arriving on Thursday so will do a test fit on my bike and we should be all good to go.

I am awaiting the final quotes for boxes etc so the eager pre-ordering customers get exclusive bubble wrap and what I can find exclusive packaging.....
