As an aside - does anyone know why it is that I can see the thumbnail images fine in the above post, but when I click on them to view full size they will only appear rotated by 90 degrees? (Or is it just me?) Weird...

I recently purchased a set of Alda's brackets. His brackets are exactly what I had hoped they would be. They are a nice upgrade from the stock setup, excellent quality, not very expensive and simple to install.

Today I made my navigation grip. I put pictures below. If anyone was interested, I have technical drawings and everything exactly described.

All these designs are very clever but I don't have a workshop to construct/weld/machine etc. Anybody offering to make one for me at "mates rates".

I don't much like the commercial ones on the market they invariably have unsightly brackets or fixings.

Anybody sell me a unwanted Vortex maybe?

Could you please provide me with a drawing? That would be great.
I am using FreeCAD, but can also open DWG, DXF and IGES files.

I got my wires crossed then,I I knew you was after it when I was too, he sent it to Aus along with his silencer so I put 2 and 2 together.......

Hi Bonzo, just a thought, there are some fiddly small nuts to be fitted, so do yourself a favour and stuff old towels around the steering head so if you drop anything they are easily recovered! Could save you some frustration

Hi all. New member here. Just picked up a gently used '16 RS this past weekend. Immediately rode it over 600 miles home, including about 50 miles on my local race track. Love the bike so far, but wasn't enamored with the big, clunky BMW Nav mount. So, I decided to mount my Zumo 396 using a Ram ball set up. The re-location is moderate, but it is slightly higher than the BMW unit. And, importantly, it brings the BMW roundel back into view from the cockpit. I will miss out on using the wonder wheel, but I can't justify spending the $500+ when I have a brand new Zumo.
