I rode the Multistrada prior to buying the R1200RS. Didn't like it at all. Very noisy and a harsh ride. So glad I bought the BMW. A much better bike in my opinion, I'm still delighted when I ride it! |

[/quote] BMW have limits on the age/mileage they will allow under their two year warranty, what happens is they get a underwritten price from a bike trader, he offers a menial amount which the dealer offers a little more trimming his profit on the new bike, when you do the deal they will let the back street trader have your old bike and they will most likely Ebay or Gumtree it. Ged

If comparing trade in deals for a new bike between multiple dealers it is only really the net price to change that matters. No point in being too concerned about either trade in price or price for new bike in isolation, as dealers can increase trade in, but then reduce discount on new bike, or vice versa. This sounds obvious, but I have known people who get obsessed with getting the best trade in price for their old vehicle but then seem unbothered that as a result they are paying full list price for the new one. |
