God I envy you guys over there! I keep watching YouTube vids and dreaming of all these riding possibilities. So many countries in a relatively small space - heck takes me 2 flipping days just to get out of Texas going west. And the accommodations and ease of travel (Brexit notwithstanding) means that a nice holiday is so easy. And you can even camp along the way if you want to.

I'm trying my best. Tonight I have had a posh scotch egg starter, them beef and ale pie, a glass of red wine and several pints of Greene King Abbott ale. Tomorrow, France. Monday Germany then Luxembourg and Belgium on the way home.

Heheh ... fast enough to cross the widest dimension of VA in 6 hours ...

I exaggerated a bit about 2 days of course, but it would take 11 hours to go from my house to El Paso and we have decent speed limits here.

We like some of the two lane speed limits and if there's a hard surface shoulder vehicles will drive on the shoulder to let your by.

Yep but those are interstate highways. I think the 85 MPH one is the toll road on the east side of Austin.
We rarely get on a interstate in Texas.

80 mph speed limits on I-10 west of Kerrville and on Toll 130 rounding east of Austin. 85 mph limit on Toll 130 south of Austin towards Luling. I am sometimes surprised at the 75 mph limits of some of the FM/RR roads. Dually pickups automatically add 10-15 mph to that even pulling trailers!

I agree. New England has some nice riding, but lame in comparison.
