I remember having issues getting my first bike on its center stand when I got back into motorcycles. Took me a while to break down and read the manual to find there was a grab handle behind the rear cowl plastics I was supposed to grab onto to help leverage it up onto the stand.

Our K75 bikes had a nice fold out handle to use when putting the bike on the centerstand.
I'm guessing the K100 and K1100 had the same handle.
