Getting the RS onto the Centre Stand.

Plenty of lighthearted banter and helpful suggestions on this thread. If you want to feel better about the centerstand on the RS, I'll direct you to the older generation Kawasaki 1000cc Concours. With the 7.4 glallon tank full of fuel and poor centerstand design, much pain and cursing was required to accomplish this simple task. |

I even did it painfully slow. But, ya know....I learned one thing. My butt is too big for video........

Roll the rear wheel onto a piece of timber around 25 mm thick and it will lift up easy |

Put the bike on something solid and level, put side stand down, left hand on the bar, right foot on the center stand nub and push it down till it hits the floor and balance it on the stand. Grab the passenger rail with right hand and stand on the center stand and pull back. |

My totally useless contribution to this thread is that I'm surprised it exists at all. The RS is by no means difficult for any experienced motorcyclist when it comes to putting it on the main stand. Those coming to the RS with little to no experience of motorcycling are missing a whole lot important stuff in between in my opinion. But, the world today is much about 'I want' and instant gratification. |

I remember having issues getting my first bike on its center stand when I got back into motorcycles. Took me a while to break down and read the manual to find there was a grab handle behind the rear cowl plastics I was supposed to grab onto to help leverage it up onto the stand.
