Maybe this will help, a couple of photos of the Halfords 2L jump starter, same issue with large clips, but as you see the main unit is not massively larger than an iPhone. Dimensions 17cm x 8.5 cm x 2 cm. I�m keeping both parts together with some tie wraps, insulation tape, a couple of odd Alan keys (accessory fitment) and a tyre tread depth measure and pressure gauge in an old wash bag, all in a pannier, whilst on tour ( otherwise I don�t bother to carry it here in UK).

After several outings with the heated jacket and handgrips going full blast (yes, it�s been a late spring on Prince Edward Island) I had a slow start, and when I got five minutes down the road to the gas station the engine turned over once and gave up. An overnight charge and all was well, and 500 km later stil seems good. But the bike is a 2016 with 71,000 Kim�s. I think I�m in for a new battery too.
There seem to be all sorts of the right size about, but some claim to be super powerful. Is there any difference?

Country of origin and 200 vs 240 CCA affects the price. I went with the Yuasa mid-grade product (YTZ-14HBS) that was made in the US. There are ETX-14 batteries from East Penn (Deka/Intimidator) that have a good reputation.
