Sure, no worries. I just came up from my garage where I pushed the button on the battery, and it still shows full charge. Standing there since September last year.

Freddy, Halfords own brand lithium jump starter for up to 2L engines at £55 could be a decent option. I have one but haven’t yet had cause to use it ( thankfully). I’m guessing Halfords wouldn’t put their name to a poor quality product. The power pack is quite slim although the battery attachment clips could be smaller for motorcycle use. |

So I've just taken delivery of a Noco GB20 - ouch, I have to say it's a damned sight bigger than I'd anticipated! Honestly not sure about carting that about with me everywhere. The croc clips are big too - but what you'd expect for a 4.0 L engine which is what this is designed to start, at the end of the day. My bike has a standard 'pigtail' attached to the battery for the trickle charger, but I guess that cable isn't meaty enough to take the current from a jump starter though, so swapping the croc clips for a standard charger plug wouldn't be an option. I keep the croc clips in a pannier with other "hope I don't need these" items. Charging lead in the overnight bag with the travel adapter. the convenience of the item surpasses any inconvenience from luggage capacity used - 10 minutes to be back on the road rather than waiting for a breakdown truck, or worse, waiting with a friend for their breakdown truck. The jump start leads need to be chunky: just look at the gauge of the wire from the jump start post.
