Out of curiosity I asked the salesman to price me up for a fully loaded 1250 ,I can't remember the exact price but I can remember he wanted my lovely Lupin and eight grand in exchange so I decided against it. I'll most likely be the same with the 1300,can't se it being able to do things much better than my 1200. I love spending my hard earned, don't like wasting it.

I loved all my VFRs and Interceptors, and I had a lot of them. I find the RS much more relaxed and suited to my aging body. That's they only reason I traded my 2014. It was among the best of the VFR/Interceptors I owned. Second place for me would have been the '94. Looks wise, I loved my 2007, 25th anniversary edition. |

The riding position is a bit too sports bike for my liking now. It was after a 300 mile day in 1995, plus I prefer big twins.

I’ll certainly get one. No desire to hang on to an outdated, obsolete, heavy old relic, just so I can cling on to the old days, and bang on about how much better things were when the dash was unreadable, the suspension was bi polar, the quick shift was only any good in the top three gears and the gearbox was embarrassing at a standstill. Oh and before I forget, I had to hold the brakes on a hill start, peer into the gloom at night, find the ruddy key after putting my gloves on and if I fell off I’d have to ring the emergency services myself. R1300RS bring it on! Lighter, faster, safer, moderner, cooler and probably much better looking. It’s only money and I sure as shit won’t be taking any with me! 😁 |

I know, I know..."technology" is great. But when the design of a new bike is centered on technology, something of the flavor of motorcycling is lost. But, anyway, I'm one of those who walked to school every day, uphill both ways. |

I also just love my RS to bits, however i have recently purchased a 2002 r1100s in red. all very analog. in fact the only electronics on this unit is the fuel injection unit oh and digital lcd clock. LOL ;) |

The new 1300's should see quite a few differences, the whole bike gets a redesign. Expect lighter and smaller, more performance (some of that needed, some possibly not). Hopefully the bikes will look good and have decent headlights - something probably the new GS does not have. Who knows, maybe they'll even get the paint colours right? No that would be uncharacteristic and too much to hope for |
