If you think MC prices are crazy, you should try higher-grade (the stuff not sold at big box stores) lawn and garden equipment. In many cases, the dealers won't post an online price and none will go below MSRP. One dealer was frank about it........."During COVID we had people buying everything, even paying a premium. We're not going back to lower margins until we have to."

In the fall I thought my 24 year old LT 155 was looking a little ratty and traded for a X350.

My neighbor bought a X350 shortly after I did when his Cub Cadet died. He got the bag option but only used it a couple times because the bag quickly fills. He has a pickup to haul away the clipping. Upper management has stipulated power steering and hydraulic deck lift. That moves us to the X370. I'm a sucker for the thicker 10-gauge, 3-blade deck and the heavier HST unit..........taking us to the X390.

The foot lever to raise the deck on the X350 is a big improvement over the long hand lever on the LT155. I thought about a 3 blade deck but I have some odd slopes that would be a problem for the wider deck. I picked the 350 because it was the cheapest mower with the Kawasaki V Twin engine

In my neighborhood, hardly anyone other than me maintains their own yards. Just about everyone who is not renting their home and letting the weeds take over, hires a Mexican gardener/landscaping company to cut the grass of their small yards and blow leaves into the street so that they can end up on someone else's' property, once a week, rain or shine. The lawns (if there are any left) are about 300 SF in size. What I have noticed is that just about every gardener uses Honda equipment.
