I decided to get a different lawn mower last year. I had a Kubota zero turn which was a nice machine, but didn't work on my front yard which has a significant slope. The zero turn would lose traction and scrape up the lawn. I had bought it used with 40 hours on it for $2300 4 years ago. I sold it for $3500 with 130hrs on it.

In the Fall of 2023, B&S announced there would be no Simplicity products for the US market in 2024 and beyond. Since some of the Simplicity ZTMs were the same as the low-end Ferris ZTMs, I'm not sure of the impact to Ferris, which focuses on the commercial market. In any case, the wunderkind leading B&S thru these changes was replaced last August. The replacement lasted until this February. I'm doubtful B&S has many more years in business.

I get why people don't like B&S, but this thing will outlast me. It's built to last 1000s of hours of commercial use. Your opinion, at least for Ferris stuff, is unfounded.
