In case your RS just isn't fast enough for you, BMW is working on an M-series 1000cc XR that they claim will hit 174 mph. Sounds like a great commute bike.

The Honda NT1100, Yamaha Tracer and MG V100 are closer to the ergonomics of an XR than an RS but they are marketed as sports tourers by their makers.
