Fitted mine today... very happy with the fit and finish... 10% louder IMHO just right for me... for a long journey.. looks 100% better than the Shiny Bazooka !

Sometimes I wonder if I am the only R/RS owner who likes the stock chrome muffler more than any of the after-market options?

Each to their own, enjoy the bike as you want it and use it as intended

I actually didn't mind the chrome. And, for a stock silencer, it really had a great sound. But I couldn't pass up a deal on a used Remus can. Better noises and quite a bit lighter |

I think the sound of my new 1250rs oem muffler is much better than the oem muffler on my old r1150 rock. More grunt and less sewing machine. That said, I really don't like the chrome. I think brushed matte aluminum would have looked much better. |

You might be right, I replaced stock with akropovic, and I am still not happy, quality of sound is good in first gear (low sound, not too loud). And you don't hear any sound in higher gears. Thinking to switch to SC project or GPR exhaust, any suggestions? Anybody wanna share their experience. I have read a lot of reviews about Leo vince and they are not satisfactory. Not sure what to do, why can't anybody get an exhaust right for R1200RS...!!! |
