This is what Zero wrote back to me.

"The basic version is equipped with 1 3Kw charger(1 Phase) and a 6Kw can be added so that amounts in a 9Kw 2 Phase charging.

The premium is equipped with 2x 3Kw (2 Phase) and a 6Kw can also be added so 12Kw 3 Phase charging."

Which means that without the charge tank the premium version can only charge at 3 kw on a single phase (4-5 hours to fill from empty). On a 3 phase charger that would halve as it would with the charge tank installed using single phase. Only on 3 phase chargers could one get to 95 % in one hour, and only with a premium SR/F equipped with the 6 kw charge tank. I think.

In further Erik Buell news: By mid-April Erik and his partners, who are working on a concept electric bicycle and motorcycle (called the Flow) will have their website up and running so that they can take deposits for the "Flow" for deliveries sometime in 2021. I can hardly wait.

The Lightning Strike was introduced today. It is kind of hard for me to believe that Lightning can sell this bike with the chassis, battery and drive train components at the advertised prices and still make a profit. Here is a long and decent review of the $2,500 USD City Slicker urban electric motorcycle. Anyone who wants to give electric motorcycle riding a try might want to consider this vehicle, which is currently being sold in the U.S. via the internet and delivered directly to your door in a big box. Here is something interesting. Kawasaki has filed a patent for a 400cc-size electric motorcycle with a quickly replaceable battery. This proposal is more advanced than I had expected to see so soon.
