Thanks! I guess the GPS fit most BMWs. I didn't think to look at another model's site.

For what it's worth, I bought a Nav V in the UK last year off eBay for £250; all was fine until I threw it down the road (with my RS attached to it) - I then approached Garmin about an out-of-warranty repair and they provided a fully reconditioned replacement, in a new casing, for £116. I thought this was worth mentioning in case you're worried about buying a used item - ie basically the maximum you are risking is £116, rather than what you actually paid for the item.

Version vl really is a great step up from the v and having interface with bike is handy. You may also look at eBay, normally not my first choice but there is a used one for $625 and a new one for $800. I got a new unit on a bid for $650.

I went with the VI based on GG’s recommendation and in depth video. No regrets at all

I got a NAV5 last year year on Amazon for $500. The screen is not as bright as the NAV6, but is always readable. Moving the GPS mount to above the instruments and adding a Wunderlich sun shade made it perfectly adequate for me.

I ended up finding a new in box VI on Kijiji for $550 Canadian...which was way cheeper than people were asking for a V on EBay.

I’m looking forward to the snow melting so I can put it through it’s paces.

For anyone looking for a Nav V, one was listed today on the BMW MOA site for $350 plus shipping.
It includes the locking cradle and key.
You probably need to be a MOA member to see the ad.

On another forum I found a Nav6 for 460. Then sold on the unwanted mount for 60.

Seller works at a dealer and often can get stuff at good price.

I went with the V just to save a bit of money. Picked it up for $325 off ADV in perfect condition. Used it on my first quick day trip and really appreciate all the information I can get out of it. Happy with my choice.
