No, I did buy the filter and oil. So...maybe $50-60 in parts.

I went with the 5 year warranty, and have tire, rim and battery insurance on the 22 1250. I also don't have to pay for maintenance service for some time. But it added a 100 bucks to the monthly payment. I think this system favors a high mileage use imo. If I don't ride it enough then it becomes more costly than just paying the services, which is more expensive in some cases than I thought it would be ....

I'm assuming you mean an extended warranty. My dealer wanted me to buy an extended warranty because (get this) BMW motorcycles have a lot of electronics and since the pandemic much of the manufacture of these components has been farmed out to third party vendors, so failures can happen. WTF? I'm thinking...they're selling me a motorcycle, then telling me it might be a good idea to buy an extended warranty to protect against these failures? That's what I call "poor sales technique".

Oh...the extended warranty? They wanted over $1400 for it. I said (shoving the warranty info away from me), "No, thanks..."

By now I think you came across one of 'those' dealers..
My extended warranty (engine/bike) not including consumables and rims provided regular maintenance at the dear (~$200) was $250...

I'm getting ready to do my first service here in Yokohama. Am doing it myself because the dealer quoted about ¥70,000. A conversion shows that that is currently about $500.

I supposedly got a "complimentary inspection" included in my $540 break-in service, from which I infer the "regular" cost (without "complimentary" inspection) would have been much higher. So, by contrast, your service quote is a "bargain"...LOL!
