We thought about buying new lids in the other colors available but it would cost around $1,400.
When I checked locally back in 2016 or 2017 what it would cost to paint our lids lupin, it was more than we wanted to pay.
We're going to go the cheap route and keep our grey lids.

I noticed the parts fiche is showing Not Available on the gloss white or gloss black lids now.

When I first asked Deb if she wanted white lids she was not sure she would like the police bike look.
I was thinking that look would be handy when you want to pass :)

Congrats on your new bikes and I think the color is fantastic! In 2020 when looking for an RS I was disappointed with the three color choices (looked at all in person) so I chose black which seemed OK but really would have preferred a white option especiallly something like the M style in white with some color accents. The red frame really sets things off too and I could also see trying the decal delete since you have some nice color going on already! Even if there had been a Lupin option I would have gotten that instead of black

I have an 1988 R100RS also (in black) and back in the day I used to ride with a friend who had one in white with blue pin striping, class look (to me)!!

Half heartedly searching for a used 2015-2016 K1600GT in white at the moment and while I like the look and comfort I worry about the wieght (also why I didnt get an RT) as I've been touching down the RS cylinder heads on the street and I dont think the GT will hang with that sort of pace. Would be a comfy ride to the twisties though....

Debbie and I are in Arkansas. Her first ride in four months because of her foot surgery.
My tracking info showed the bikes would arrive at the Kansas City shop today so we stopped in to see if they arrived.
The truck pulled in front of the shop while we were there. Good timing.
I asked Peter if he could open the top so we could look in.
I wanted to see if they shipped with Brembo and they did.
They made it threw production with ESA. By a day or two.
We might head home a little early so we can get the bikes sometime next week.

I ordered new lids at a much lower price from www.kfm-motorraeder.de . I just looked up the part numbers on a BMW website microfiche, because it was much easier than searching for them on the kfm site. And if she doesn't like white, you can get red lids from the XR and swap them on.

I think I might go for white pannier lids but a red top box lid or maybe a red decal on white pannier lids?
