I'm surprised that most of the ETA have been within a couple days. I was intrigued with the tracking on the Marine Traffic site. When the ship was close to New York I could see a group of 15 container ships anchored off shore and I was happy as I saw it motor past them and head to the dock. Early in the year a friend of mine had a ship sit for 6 weeks off shore before it made to the dock and thought that might happen to our ship. I also wondered about the bikes getting out of Germany, but that went well. It will be interesting if DHL will go straight to Kansas City with the required driver limits or sit somewhere waiting for a full load like happens when shipping a private owned bike or car.

Reports I've read directly comparing the two vendors' systems seem to indicate they like Haynes better. When they're not blowing seals, that is. We'd have to assume a SRR would have much more violent brake application applied on a regular basis to test this, though. It's pretty simple, if I pay for some feature on the bike, it better be on the bike and not be a promise to get them on the bike at a later date. Just one of the reasons I'm holding off buying another BMW motor presently. If I ordered the features I wanted, I expect to get what they charged me for at time of delivery. Back and forth to the dealer as parts come in nothing short of a PITA. |

Only the Select Package is available and that package is $500 less. $500 is not nearly enough to buy premium after market suspension. Right after we ordered, the salesman called us and read me the email from BMW that they would soon start shipping the RS and R without ESA. He said I could cancel my orders if the bikes did not make it through production without ESA. The shop would still need to take the bikes. I think it was the next week he called again and said both of our bikes got ESA. There was enough ESA on hand to do our bikes. No idea how long it will take to repair the damaged factory or if there's plans to shift suspension production to another factory.
