Okay, maybe I need to work on my forearm muscles, but I find the throttle spring/pull just a bit too high on my 1250RS. |

I use the cruise control, no problem.
2020 R1250RS, 2018 Ducati 939 Supersport, 2018 Ducati Monster 821, 1967 Ducati 250 mk3.

I don't have any problem on my 1200 although having a relaxed grip is something I focus on a lot and actually preach in my role in rider development. |

if so equipped, the cruise control is a game changer. But, as mentioned, the grip diameter on the RS is quite small and caused me some discomfort too, even after being intentional with the amount of pressure on the grips. I installed Grab On grip covers (similar to Grip Puppies). They took a short acclimation period, as they're large in diameter due to being slipped on over the stock grip, but do help with the problem you described. The perfect grip for me would be in between these two sizes. Which happens to exist on my '92 900SS |

As an alternative to reducing the throttle spring strength, I suggest a friction-type throttle lock (Kioki or Wunderlich sells them) or placing a large O-ring between the throttle barrel and bar end weight. In both cases, you're adding some drag which will partially negate the force of the throttle return spring. The R1200RS being my first throttle by wire bike, I needed the additional drag to acclimate to the bike.

Another vote for grip puppies. Nothing to dis-assemble. I just apply them with very soapy water and gradually "sweat" them on.

I don't think I'll be interested in these, I only need to make the grips thicker, not another throttle control unit, my bike has electronic cruise. Am I missing something? I don't see their throttle lock at the end of the bars on yours, hmm |
