Thing is, I like it to have a manual for the specific bikes to avoid any pitfalls that weren't obvious. I found a bmw repair manual and it has a very detailed instruction for replacing the pads.
I'll change the pads when I got that tool for pushing back the pistons (I have no idea how to translate Bremskolbenrücksteller)

I think the translation is "screwdriver". Just pry the old pads apart with one. Since they are being replaced, you don't care if they get scratches on the pad surface. You can put a piece of cardboard on the disc side to keep it from being scratched. It doesn't take much effort to force the pads apart. After all you have to do that every time you remove the front wheel by using the disc surface to force the pads apart so that you can remove the caliper.

I haven't thought about using the method for pushing back the pistons in the rear brake for the front as well. Thank you!

Unless you are committed to buying this Bremskolbenrücksteller don't bother. You should be able to push the pistons back with your fingers.

This may not need saying but ensure that you clean the calipers and pistons of any road dirt before pushing the pistons back otherwise you may trap dirt under the dust seal and even worse between the pressure seal and the piston.

It's also worth noting to check that after you have changed the pads and operated the lever a few times, that you spin the wheel to ensure that it is free to turn. The seals are made so that as the pressure comes off the system they will grip the piston and pull it back a midges dick(a little bit) so that the wheel always runs free. If the wheel binds at all you will have to push out the pistons again and clean the pistons again. The worst case is that you will need to dismantle the calipers to make a proper job of cleaning the caliper and piston set. Don't think that the pads will bed in, they very rarely do "bed in".

And the part #'s for the Brembo pads are ?????????

If the pistons don't push back with your fingers then they might need cleaning anyway. My bike is booked in for it's 12000 mile service so rather than the dealer ring me to say the pads need replacing I bought
my self a full set of Brembo pads then yesterday I set about replacing the pads, I removed the rear calliper and took the pads out only to find compared to the new pads they had hardly worn so I gave the calliper a good spray with brake calliper cleaner the wire brushed the pads and put them pack in. The front pads were the same except you don't remove the calliper so given it's take me 16 month to do 12000 miles I'd say the pads are good for another 12000 miles so I'll keep the new pads in the tool box for when needed.

You are correct about the front pads being removable without dismounting the calliper. I guess that is Brembo engineering, but it is a real and welcome improvement.

The same is true for the rear brake as well, which I found out after I had removed the calliper on my first inspection. RTFM!!!

The ease of maintenance of the RS is greatly improved over my Oil head, with the ability to remove and inspect brake pads easily being only one of the many advantages.
