Back in the summer our two year old Bosch dishwasher went on the blink. |

A year later, I called him for a new control board, which I installed. Something like this could happen with our rides..........In fact, I've seen postings to that effect. They only hit the news because iPhones are so popular and each new version of their iOS operating system adds features which needs better hardware and uses more juice. Users of older phones install the new version, and surprise surprise, it runs like a dog and then they complain. The software you refer to slows down the phones so they don't use too much power which would kill the battery fairly rapidly. For their computers, Apple (sensibly, imho) won't let you install the latest version of macOS on their computers over a certain age. [The macOS installer detects the age of the computer and either continues or tells you your machine is too old...] Like I said, it's not just Apple. Try running Windows 10 on hardware you bought 5+ years ago and see how wonderful that is... Cheers Paul B. |

The first Apple rep told me to take it to my local repair center and have it tested. $37 dollars later, the repair facility said screen was shot. Estimated cost of the repair was $99 plus parts and labor. So, I went to my service provider to explore options........$199 for an Iphone 6 or 299 for an Iphone 7. The young guy working at store suggested I keep using my old phone until it was truly dead. I ignored his advise and bought the Iphone 7. Took it home, turned it on and tried to make a call............same darn thing as with the old phone. So, I call Apple, again. New Apple rep, an older guy, listens to my tale, does a test or two and tells me to return the new phone, the old one is fine.......it's a virus or software problem. So, I return the new (thinner, cheaper) phone and wait for Apple to correct the problem. It took about 2-weeks for all the issues to disappear. No final notice of a correction or announcement of a problem. Service was just restored, slowly. A unique experience, in my opinion.
