As the title - thanks to panic england/cobra/warnings of death etc.

I often speak about Norway, quiet roads, No traffic, never seeing anyone for hours and now, thanks to dire weather warnings, stay indoors etc. the roads are biker friendly.

A few like minded motorcycles also having the same happy hours, no speeding required, just trundle along and enjoy!

I have just had the best two hours riding across Dartmoor national park ever - no traffic and the wildlife is too hot/sat down on the sides of the roads.

For two hours I never had a tailgater catch me, nothing in front, minimal traffic opposite direction, One 20mph tourist car overtaken at River Dart Country Park, Ashburton

To anyone who knows the area = looping ride as follows

Newton Abbot, Chudleigh, Teign Valley, Moretonhampstead, Warren Inn, Princetown, back to Badgers Holt, Poundsgate, Ashburton -

Ashburton, Bickington, Rippon Tor Firing army firing range, Hemsworthy Gate - stopped for a drink, no traffic either way, Haytor, Bovey Tracey, Kingsteignton - Newton Abbot, Home.

This morning I drove the air conditioned box from near Oswestry to home. 2 hour drive. Seemed to be quite a few riders out risking almost certain death in the heat. I don't recall seeing any in T shirts, shorts and sandals so they hadn't gone full mentalist.

It was very pleasant this morning, eating breakfast al fresco with friends but from 12 noon it became too hot for me to contemplate riding a bike. Currently 34C a short distance away at the local airport. I have ridden in 43C in Portugal and the June 2019 heatwave in France. Very draining.

You need to come to the California central valley where you can see plenty of young motorcycle riders on the freeway and around town riding in 40-45 C degree temperatures wearing nothing but a T-shirt, shorts, an open-face helmet and maybe open-toe sandals on their feet. A sight like that completely amazes me. Even if you are really lucky and are not involved in a crash, you would think that a major case of sunburn (followed by skin cancer later in life) would be the result of that riding attire.

I did consider writing Texas, Nevada or Colorado instead of mentalist...
