I received the 50L BMW top case in time for Xmas and my brother arriving from Colorado to ride for a few days and celebrate the holiday season.

Here's some pics of the bag on the RS. I know it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but I like the way it looks on the RS personally. More importantly for my extended trips, I've nearly doubled the liter capacity of the top case. I'm going to leave it on the bike 24/7. First picture really demonstrates what it looks like overall.

BTW, my brother watched me hit 90mph to establish whether it would be subject to buffeting. No issues at all, the bag isn't moving whatsoever [ which after mounting it I had some concerns about ].

I like how the 30 liter and 50 liter soft top case had the sleeve on the bottom to slip over the rear rack.
On our 30 liter bags we only had to use the sleeve and two of the provided straps.

Can you get by with 2 straps or do you need all 4 straps on the 50 liter?

From another angle out riding the other day.

I experimented with the new BMW Black Collection rear bags at the local shop yesterday. Small is 30L, Lg was 50L (I think). Very nicely built, large, deep rubbery plastic base pan in both, with lots of pockets and waterproof zippers and such. They both slip over the rear rack and there are lots of tie-down options (didn't dig THAT deep, I guess).

I say "new," but guess the whole line has been out a while. Takes for a while for things to get to the Midwest, I guess! Will have to go back and inspect further. Really liked the small one on the back rack of a used RS that was in the showroom.

In this video the top half of the rear bags seem to hold it's shape.
Maybe they have sometime stuffed in the bag for the video??
