a.k.a. Where are my eyeglasses?
a.k.a. Found a new storage compartment on the RS.

This morning I tidied up some wires on my RS…then put the plastics back on.  Gathering my stuff to go upstairs, I can’t find my mid-range glasses (for computer work).  Looked everywhere.  Couldn’t find them.  I know I set them on the gas tank, but certainly it couldn’t be there.  The tank trim fits so tight that there’s no way I could have bolted parts on if something was in the way.  After exhausting every possibility, I resigned myself to having to take the plastics back off.

Sure enough, they were right there…sitting in a dimple of the tank in front of the fill hole…just enough to not obstruct the plastic trim.

Time for more coffee.

And one of the fairing screws is cross-threaded. I think it'll be okay. Brass threaded hole. So, I just tightened it all the way down...carving new grooves. I'll have to be careful in the future. Get that sucker slightly misaligned and this is what happens.
