Yep, it's a stepped collar so as not to crush the deflector but not to let it rattle either.

So far I have about 200 miles on them and nothing has fractured or failed, they are stable and don't shake around, even at many Leptons per hour

Next step os a set for the bigger heavier Denali lights.

Waiting for some other bits to be machined then they are all off for anodising.

I have the Darla's on my r nine T but went the the Krista's on my RS because I wanted a bit more light. And the Krista's deliver that in spades.

I’ve fitted Denali D4’s and find them very good, took a bit of work to find a suitable bracket, but having hit a kangaroo in the past it’s not something I choose to repeate!

Those lights sit nicely on those brackets and tuck into the fairing as well.
Do you mind sharing who makes the brackets?

Hey Mark, Which HID kit did you purchase? Where did you put the Ballast? Did you wire directly to the existing headlight harness or have to use the EZ Can? -Thanks, Dr Ron

I advise aginst the DR1 kit, they are HUGE and don't light the road up well as floods. When I changed the lenses to spotlights they just provide two long, skinny very bright beams in front of the bike with very little peripheral lighting....the bright pencil thin beams constantly attract your eye to them and not onto the street, resulting in some night blindness as well. -DR Ron

Unfortunately they didn’t fit. The housing at the base of the bulb is too big to fit into the whole where the bulb goes, which is a shame as I did connect them to the wiring and they worked fine. It’s a shame bmw don’t offer a dealer fitted upgrade of the new fairing to give you the same lights as the newer 1250RS.

How straightforward was the cyclops LED install? The TouraTech https://touratech-usa.com/store/Cyclops-...200GS-ADV-RT-LT gives instruction on GS application but photos give no insight into what challenge the bulb installation may present on an RS

I installed all four Cyclops LED bulbs in my 2016 RS over the winter...low beam, high beam and the 2 parking bulbs. I did this without removing anything but the inside plastic shroud. It's a pretty straight forward job, however, if you have large hands, removing the existing parking bulbs might be difficult. I was able to get them, but it took some patience and a needle nose pliers. Installing the new bulbs was simple. I used the existing plastic dust covers by trimming a small amount of the plastic lip the goes inside the housing so the I could exit the wires/cords. This allowed me to still fasten these covers with a small turn as designed, albeit tight. I then mounted the amp on the inside of each fairing using velcro and then re-attached the shrouds. Everything still looks factory except for the wires coming out the bottom, however, they are very hard to see. BTW...the lights are VERY bright. Haven't had a chance to ride yet at night, but I have a feeling I may have to make some adjustments.

Thanks @XSCHR for your input (from October 2018 -_-' )... I searched for your provider an fond out that they were providing a new deeper lamp-cover to fit the LED radiator.... this made me place my order right away.

I installed them yesterday with a friend (along with BMW head cover, and removal of original GPS holder - I have the Isotta now) and headed back home through back roads (high way is flooded with light around Toulouse).

These LEDs are such a blessing !!!! I finally got back to see at night as well (if not better, testing in progress) as with my Tracer 900 with additionnal OEM (by SW Motech) anti-fog lights.... and really easy to mount, and no CANBus error...

I like that it come with LEDs position lights, so that when the highbeam is off, it's still white in there. I can't stress enough how easy the mouning was, how much happy I am with the result.
