If anybody finds the OEM top box being to small and /or expensive, there's a sollution to mount a Givi Monokey topbox (V46-v47-v56) by using my own designed adaptor plate.
The main reason for me to make this design was that the Givi plate places the top box a bit to far forward = alot of complains from my passenger. I also wanted a plate that blended better with the rest of the bike.

The Bacaruda plate is made of 6082-T6 aluminium, Black anodized with a special coating to make it more resistant to UV-radiation.
It comes with black anodized aluminium spacers, 2 up front and 2 at the rear.
The SW Motech adapter kit to lock the case to the plate is included and mounted.
All bolts,washers and nuts in the SW Motech kit has been exchanged to Stainless steel dito.

My plate replaces the BMW plastic luggage plate, (not placed above it like the Givi SRA5117 plate), and compared to the Givi adapter plate, it places the box lower down and 25 mm further back.

More than 60 sold and delivered worldwide so far. I have done 25.000 km + incl several two-up tours, heavy loaded without any problems.

I don't know if I will go on and make another run, but still got plates in stock.
Due to weaker Swedish currency I can lower the price.

I highly recommend this adapter plate. The design, fit and finish are all top notch. I originally had the Givi adapter plate which looked aweful when the top case wasn’t installed. With the Bacaruda plate I actually like the look without the top case installed. And Johan is a great guy to do business with.

This really is a lovely piece of work by Bacaruda.

I’ve been using the plate for over a year now and generally take my VR47 top box off as soon as possible as its bloody ugly and I don’t want to be stopped by people asking what pizza I have on board

I leave the Bacaruda plate in place as it’s a thing of beauty and in the last 8000 miles shows no sign of wear.

I have no connection with Bacaruda other than being very happy customer who can highly recommend this piece of kit.

Thread really deserves a bump if plates are still available. Mine showed up in the mail 2 days ago, installed in about 2 minutes, very, very nice addition to the RS. Quick response to my order questions, simple transaction, and timely delivery from Sweden to my door in Florida. There were pages of happy customer's praise on the old board - although they have disappeared the rack certainly still deserves recognition.

+1 from me. Bacaruda's plate is more OEM looking than the OEM plate BMW supply for they own tiny top box.

I will finish the company that i set up for my plate bussiness by the end of this year. The overhead cost is to high (insurance, accountant etc) compared to the income so it makes no sense to have the company running anymore.
I still have a handfull of plates left but I wont make another run in the near future.
That means that after december 31 2018, I will not make any sale/delivery outside of EU as I don't have any insurance coverage for that and don't want to jeopardize the rest of my business.

I have just received mine from Bacaruda. It's a wonderfull plate!!! Really well done, totally recommended. Now, I only need to pick up my new motorbike from the shop next week

Last chance for non-EU to purchase a Givi topbox adapterplate as I will not ship oversea after new year.
