Does your garage have an ecosystem of rodents and creepie crawlies that might see the bike as a new home? If it does, fix the garage!

No. The garage is devoid of creatures. I had read somewhere that plugging the intake and exhaust would prevent moisture inside those openings...moisture due to the diurnal cycle of cold/warm/cold during winter days. If it's just a question of critters, then I'll ignore this. Thanks.

No....climate is dry here. I do use a mat under my bike, always have. Much warmer than cold concrete floor.

I'm good...I'll not cover those openings.

I keep mine in an insulated (though not heated) garage with no rodent problem, so no.

The intake is plastic with a paper element air filter. I really don't think the humidity level is going to cause much of a problem. Similarly, the exhaust is stainless and designed to have moisture inside it. It even has a drain hole.

I also have an old car I keep in my garage and haven't had a problem like that in 15 years. It does get covered when it's stored for the winter.
