After 2 or 3 months of using the MRA X-creen in conjunction with the Puig Touring Plus screen, for some reason I decided to try the setup without the MRA. I was pleasantly surprised on several levels: 1. I had a much clearer view through the screen, which improved my visual feedback and thus, my riding/cornering; 2. The sound level was virtually the same as with the MRA; 3. The amount of cooling air increased somewhat, a benefit on a 90-degree F day like today. Add one more thing...it looks much better.

The Puig Touring Plus and the Mudsling have turned out to be two of the best, most effective modifications I can think of for the RS. The cost/benefit ratio is excellent, with both together costing less than $300. I've spent that much on a hotel room for one night, with nothing to show for it other than freeway noise and late-night partiers.

Went into the mountains yesterday for a nearly 300-mile ride. Beautiful day...nice quiet screen...good way to spend a fall day. After 5 1/2 months and about 4,500 miles, the RS is really starting to "break in"...running smoother and smoother, accelerating more smoothly, too. Starting to really look like a long-term ride.
