Hi All,

Having had a number of issues with electronics recently I decided to get a fault code clearer so that I could try to clear issues myself before having to endure the dreaded 5 hour wait for a BMW recovery vehicle.

Having done some research, I purchased the MotoScan App and WG Soft's own UniCarScan 2100 device, which seemed to be the best option. GS-911 is very pricey and, so the internet rumour mill goes, is no longer being developed and is being phased out.

Anyway, having plugged the dongle in, I am unable to access several of the modules on the bike, including the ESA and DWA modules. I wondered if any one else had had a similar experience with the MotoScan software - I'm disappointed really as everything I'd read online was glowing about it.

Used the Moto scan app on my old RT and found it too very capable, the guy who runs motoscan is very helpful and approachable, so it may be worth sending him a message for advice.

I have a cheapo OBD reader too (OBDLink LX101), also working with MotoScan - hitherto the free 'Lite' version - but as it happens, I dug it out today as I wanted to use it to reset the service indicator, which has been driving me insane on tour last week, as I haven't had the bike serviced by a BMW dealership.... anyway, I spent the requisite £20 to upgrade to the 'Pro' version, and have just successfully reset the service indicators.

I did also look through the various modules, and noted several I couldn't access, including the ESA one. However, the DWA one was available to me - I don't know what the implication of that is, and if it helps at all?
