What's your technique? Roll off while standing to the side, or rocking off while seated?

Being short in lthe leg I tend to climb on,fire up put it in gear,grab a handful of throttle lean back and dump the clutch then I'm away.

Both. At home getting it out of the garage I stand to the side and after refueling I sit on it and rock it forwards.

Hands on bars, rock back then forward off the stand, covering the front brake. I tend to only use it in limited space too. ie, the garage.

I also only put it on the sidestand when in the garage or overnight in a hotel. I hold bars and grab rail and push it off. Sometimes it needs to be rocked once, or I may have to put foot in front of stand as that can sometimes slip. Never put it on centre stand in a petrol station. (I find it harder to get on and off the sidestand than my old XR).

Most of the time I straddle the bike with my butt off the seat and push forward with my arms and legs.

Sometimes I'll put the bike on the center stand to maximize refueling. For that I typically straddle the bike to get it off the stand.

To get the bike out of the garage, I stand to the side, put the side stand down and hold the left bar and passenger grip. My garage floor is epoxied and sometimes the stand will slide without folding back. So I've taken to putting my left foot in front of the stand to trip it.

I've never tried getting off a center stand whilst on the bike. Sounds odd to me.
I put my (right) foot on the center stand, one hand on the bars, one hand on luggage rack and lift as I push it forward. The reason I apply just a little pressure to the stand is because the bike tends to slide forward, rather than up and over, if I don't.

Today I found a simple way to get off the center stand. I straddle the bike, putting my right foot on the right footpeg (obviously not the left one...lol!), put my left foot on the ground (kickstand is retracted. My full weight is not on the bike. Then I rock back, then forward, pushing with my left foot. My right hand's on the brake. Bike comes off the stand smoothly and easily and I apply a little brake once it's off. Works great for me.

And as for the reverse...getting in onto the stand. Well, I admit to some density of brain here. It's a LOT easier without the panniers on...ask me how I figured that out! Almost trivial. Live and learn...
