Well...right off the bat, I have to say that a few concerns of mine are no longer "concerns".

1. Side stand: Bike is not as vertical as I thought, reading comments about it. There's plenty of lean...at least enough that it doesn't appear to be in danger of going over. I'm pleased.
2. Center stand: With good technique, it goes easily onto the CS. Pleased again
3. Windscreen: One of my biggest "buggaboos". A test ride on a '20 RS almost put me off the model. In retrospect, it seems likely that demo bike's screen was mounted in the upper mounting holes. I had my new RS mounted in the lower holes, and in the lower position, the wind noise is more than tolerable...it's quite good.

As for the bike overall, my ride home was awesome, if short. Love the maneuverability, love the low CG.

EDIT: Anyone have a tip on tightening panniers on the mounting rail. I know about the two screws inside the panniers, but I can't recall how to use them to adjust fit. My right pannier is tight, but the left can be rocked laterally, by holding the front of the pannier and the rear and pushing/pulling. Vertical fit is tight, but side to side seems a bit loose. Thanks.

Have a search against "wobbly pannier" and you will see details with photo on adjustment.
My screen is also better in the "lower holes but lifted to the higher setting"
Happy you have found the other problems were just a case of over reading the forum!

My panniers aren't to hand, they're in my loft awaiting a trip to Moffat next weekend.

From memory, loosen screws, move plate, tighten and try on the bike. Rinse and repeat until the desired fit is achieved.

I'm glad you like your new RS. I gave my 2015 a deep clean yesterday and can't see any reason to replace it...

Wrong - my screen in mounted on the higher holes in the bracket but left in the low position.

Well, just don't get complacent about it... I thought I was always really careful about mine, until the day the bike blew over when parked up at the top of a mountain pass
