So I'm still getting used to the 'wire' throttle as I developed a finesse with cables and the 'bite' point tension.

That being said I still happen to stall the bike in Rain, Road, or Dynamic. Only in Dynamic Pro does it seem predictably linear or rather I get the engine response I expect based on the twist I give it.

I suppose the Rain (expected) but also Road or Dynamic give less than 1-for-1 throttle? Keep it electronically tamed?

Dynamic Pro is simply a function to allow you to preselect a combination of Engine Mode and DTC, it is not another engine mode/throttle response and will be no more or less ‘linear’ than the Engine mode selected in your set up.

I’ve certainly stalled a couple of times setting off in second uphill by mistake, but with so much engine mass and inertia and a very smooth clutch just a few revs should be sufficient to see you on your way.

My '16RS never comes out of dynamic because of the reason you state. I found leaving it there made getting used to the "wire" throttle a quick transition. The light clutch action helps as well.

Also in Rain (and Road) mode the DTC will catch it quick enough if you do grab a handful by mistake.

I personally use ‘rain’ mode around town as I find the performance is the same just more throttle movement needed so it’s a smoother ride in stop start traffic.
