Just completed 1000miles with a new Shoei GT Air 2. This replaced the mark 1 GT Air that I was very happy with for over 70,000 miles. Can thoroughly recommend the Mk 2 as Shoei have mad several improvements. It is quieter and the visor operates easier. The internal sun visor is not as dark as the Mk 1 so it was a big help with the recent low winter sun and I could see through it when riding into the shade. With the Mk 1 I only ever used it to shade my eyes otherwise when you went into shade you could not see. It also came with a spare pinlock insert.

Will the shield stay in a fixed partial opening when riding at speed?

Will the shield stay in a fixed partial opening when riding at speed?

For something like 15 minutes and more when it is raining I have to have the visor partially open to prevent misting. At motorway speeds this is never a problem with the Mk 2 nor was it with the Mk 1
