Hi,

my RS will arrive soon with the chromed Saturn V strapped to the engine, while BMW offers the Akrapovič I have a preference for smaller exhausts with honestly little regard for them being loud or removing the dB-killers.

I was wondering among various members in the EU what options did you go for with for the aftermarkets, and are you able to pass the local MoT/TUV/Inspection in regards to noise and emissions without the hassle of replacing them or risking a police officer with a really bad day who'd single you out due to the can and send to the MoT again to establish you replaced the can since and... well you see where I'm going with this.

Those SC ones look nice, black and compact - any luck with them or similar?

That guy on a red CBR in January people stare at because it's 0C and they're shivering in a car with heated seats - but he's filtering awaaaay!

I have the SC1-R in Titanium with Carbon end cap. My bike is a 2020-model Euro 4. The exhaust was delivered with certificate which I carry in the bike in case stopped by the police. And as far as I can tell there is no easy way to remove any parts to make in noisier.

I've checked out their site and will keep it in mind, they have some nice EU5 compliant models - the on your bike fits really well with the entire package. Far better than the stock monstrosity naturally

I am thinking of getting one of those or the Xplorer II, which basically looks the same. How does it sound compared to stock?

It is a bit louder than original, deeper, but far from annoying. In my mind it sounds pretty much as a motorbike should.
In "normal" riding it is not much noisier, but you get a great sound when opening up throttle and let the beast come alive :-)

I live in France with a French registered bike. We have no MOT/TUV or tech inspections on bikes in France, so no one cares what exhaust you fit.

2020 R1250RS, 2018 Ducati 939 Supersport, 2018 Ducati Monster 821, 1967 Ducati 250 mk3. All PCP free.
