I have some FIAMM Hi/Lo horns that I will hook up with a relay and then maybe a heated seat. Maybe.

I thought Erika's would be too big, do you have a picture from the front? I went with Darlas, but you have triple the lumens. Not like I think I'd need that, but it would be sweet none the less.

My corbin saddle should be here any day now, and I skipped the seat heater option. To me, theres already a lot of heat coming off the Boxer I didn't think I'd ever use it. I would have got the seat cooler option if it was available but it's not yet for the RS.

Clearwater stuff is always good. I can see Mr. Geek going for the Erikas as his weapon of choice for Arizona riding. Arizona has big wide open spaces where the extra illumination at night is a boon. It's also visited by increasing numbers of UFOs each year. Gotta stand out from the crowd.

Nice set up. Which wire did you tap into for the trip wire for the fuze block and where did you hide the fuze block?

Yeah, I've used fuse blocks before namely the Centech AP2 and I've always used a relay that required a keyed wire to trip the relay when the ignition is turned on. I'm guessing a relay wasn't used with your fuze block application? If lights are hooked up to the fuze block how are they wired to turn off with the key or are they hot all of the time and wired to a switch?

I'm asking these annoying questions because I'm thinking of adding lights and don't know if a can opener of some kind would be better than a fuse block.

The FuzeBlock has some circuits that are only active when the key is on. I hooked into the tail light loom to connect the "switched" circuitry of the FuzeBlock, with a 30A relay built into the FuzeBlock. I've got a couple of USB ports (dual in front and another dual port for the rear), the Kristas, and the horn relay all wired into the FuzeBlock with plenty of open circuits for any other electronics I may want to add later. Apologies for any confusion in my previous post.

Re AZgeek’s post, can anyone explain to me why the Canbus tolerates the (unexpected?) load imposed when Fuzeblock attached switched devices become active. Tapping into the tail light circuit is a neat way to pick up the switched feed to the Fuzeblock but why doesn’t Canbus complain. Why doesn’t it think it’s an overload on the tail light circuit?

I can't tell you exactly why but my guess is that the power from the bike (brake light wire) is only tripping the relay and there isn't enough current draw to freak out the CAN system. The actual fuse block is hooked to the battery and grounded to the bike so it is outside the CAN system. Devices like HexCan and CanOpener tap into the CAN instead of bypassing it. At least that is how it works in my feeble mind. Others more adept at electronics can provide a more accurate answer.

This is correct, the additional current seen by the CANBus on the tail light circuit to energise the relay coil is a few milliAmps.
The current drawn by the accessories comes directly from the battery through the switched contacts of the relay so isn't seen by the CANBus
