After a long time with my Schuberth C4 Pro I decided to wear my (oldi-sh) HJC RPHA-11 for a change the other day, and couldn't believe how comfortable, light and exceptionally quiet it is. I think the only reason I went onto the C4 Pro was because I wanted a flip front for touring and a drop down visor.

Anyway, I did a bit of research and armed with the experience of being sure what size HJC would fit me (large in case you were wondering), took a punt on a Sampra Blue RPHA-70 from Jamie at Motocentral.

Absolutely delighted with every aspect of this lid, and I'm very happy to report it's quieter than both the Schuberth and the RPHA-11. Colour aint a bad match to the Lupin either.

More white, would be nice. But, otherwise, nicely coordinated.

It's 'whiter' from the front aspect.

Great colour match.

I wasn't too keen on the centre visor latch when I was in the market for a new helmet.

Don't like the colour but there again I don't like Lupin Blue

I think I prefer it central, but you get used to what you have I suppose.

Howdy Bikepirate, I think the 70 feels very slightly heavier - but still at the lighter end of the scale, the top vents are pretty good, though the chin & small rear jobbies don't seem to offer much (but that may be different on a naked bike). What struck me was how quiet it is. If you get on with the '11', I reckon you'll feel right at home inside the '70'. I'd say the 70 is the sports touring version of the racing 11.

Ooh, and lots of different colour options for those who don't dig lupin. Weirdos

Being quieter than the RPHA11 wouldn�t be hard. It�s a light,comfortable hat with great visibility and ventilation but it�s NOISY.

Regarding RPHA-11 noise, I completely disagree Jim, but it just shows we're all different.
