Hi, looking for an intercom for my wife and I.
Currently using a scala set up which I've found disappointing as the vox is not quick enough to reconnect when it's sleeping and you try to initiate a conversation.
I've been looking at the interphone twin packs.
It needs to be Bluetooth as I don't want wires all over.
Anyone got a set up which you would recommend?
Needs to be clear at motorway speeds too.
Off on a trip around the west of America in September on a Harley so need it before then.

made the move from wire to interphone last year very pleased there is a company in Italy who do split packs so have a sport for my self and the urban for my wife as she doesn't need all the stuff on the sport. battery life is great i have recently upgraded to the pro mic for both of use well wort the cost , oh we are had schuberth helmets but now are using Shoei GT air.

Hi, I had the Scala Q1 but was having problems with with too many BT connections i.e. phone + sat nav + passenger headset, the BT connections would always drop out just at the point when the wife wanted to say something !. I have now invested in the Cards Packtalk, what a difference, the communication use it's own mesh technology whereas the phone and sat nav use BT that way I can always here the wife. The only disadvantage with these units is the price and you can always here the wife.

I have the Interphone FCM3 twin pack for rider to pillion via Bluetooth. Very easy to use, great battery life but volume too low (given wind noise levels) above 50mph with my standard screen and Shoei helmet set-up. So no use on motorways.

I have Sena 10R duel pack and works up to 120km/h with MRA X-Creen(Screen improved audio quality - wind noise reduction) fitted to BMW StreetX but will be transferring it to the BMW System 7 soon. I moved the speakers as close as possible to my ears and that improved the quality significantly, fitted in the helmet speaker cut outs just did not work.

2 Up coms is not a problem, the one or two phone calls I received the volume was very low but I think it is only a setting.

The control unit is also very slim fitting reducing wind noise and once used to controls it is very easy. Setup and pairing is easy. Only helmet to helmet pairing is a bit fiddly, just need to read the instructions again

Sena 20S for me. Helmet to helmet is super clear. Phone calls, music from my iphone and helmet to helmet are all clear with decent volume

It looks very much like the sena 20s evo could be the winner.

How to intercoms work with ear plugs?

A contradiction in requirements I think.

We always wear ear plugs. No issues.

Bought the sena 20s evo dual pack in the end £380 GBP. from a local bike shop.
Easy to fit, just need to try it out now.
