RE: GPS relocation - 2

Just put a deposit on an R1200RS with the normal (daft) BMW GPS Mount on the yoke. I will be looking to move this as soon as possible to a heads up position above the Instrument Cluster.

There seems to be a number of options from Hornig, Wunderlick (current favorite, but expensive for what looks like a small amount of bent sheet.....potential copy on ali express) and MV

Also thanks to this thread I have also found the Moto Mate Mount ....which may be the new favourite

Anyone got any experience of any or are there any others that I should consider?

Moto Mate is the choise I took. Well made and a a good fit.

Well the long and short of it is I purchased the correct one now. Phil told me to hold onto the one for the R1200RS and when he gets an order for one in the USA he will inform me of the address and I'll send it to the purchaser. That way it saves me the cost of shipping back to the U.K. I may just advertise it in the classifieds here and see if I get any takers.

Received and installed the correct Moto Mate GPS relocation bracket today. Fits well and makes the bars cleaner looking. It is the proper position for the GPS in my opinion. Protection from the weather to a certain point for one thing. And much easier to view when riding. I’m distracted enough without looking at my bars continually

A. Buy an expensive bracket and mount GPS above the dash behind the screen. Plenty tips on here.
B. Jack up the GPS on the original mount with 50p worth of tin strips, keeping it below the dash, but with a better line of sight and within reach. Which is what I did a long, long time ago and still going strong.
