Does anyone have the original BMW repair CD from the R1200RS and can tell me the Torque of these Screws, please ?
I have the CD too, but I can't find it ...

I also have the Hayes repair manual, but I can't find these Screws there

I didn't have any luck when looking at the BMW Repair Manual.

Found this in JVB Productions:
M8x30 screws in final drive- Tighten diagonally opposite sequence to 10nm then 45 deg. angle of rotation.
Verify this with another source before you do it.

I saw that figure in the Torque section but without a picture I was not 100% sure of the location.
10 nm, then a 45 degree turn seems low.

I would agree that 10 Nm seems low on a M8 with threadlocker applied, but my version of the RSD also says 10 Nm, then turn 45 degree.

10nm seats the screws firmly. An extra 45 deg angle of rotation probably gets it near 30nm. Don't know for sure.

On 2nd thought the 10nm plus 3/4 turn sounds ok.
You only need to compress the #13 oring.

That's correct, thanks for the correction.

The K1200/1300 clutch cover has a similar procedure with very little torque.
On the clutch cover it's 26 inch pounds, then turn 90 degrees.

Okay, everything is done and ready for the first Ride.

The 10 Nm and 45 degrees are too much, i put it on at 30Nm.
I set the torque Wrench to 35Nm and first tested the existing screws.
They started spinning and at 30Nm everything was fine.

I tried this before tightening the final 30Nm:
I tightened the screws with 10Nm and then set the torque wrench to 30Nm.
It triggered after about 20 degrees .....

The Screws are 8.8

That coincides with my experience at work.
Most 8.8 M8 screws are 25-30Nm.

I will check the Screws after a few Rides.

Because of fitting the rear Ilmberger Fender

I asked this Question in the RS1200 Forum because the Screws etc. are the same and there is currently no Documentation for the RS1250.
