I've had my '18 RS for a month now with less than 1000 miles thus far. I let the bike sit for a week and when I restarted it (took 2 attempts) a huge cloud of blue smoke came out of the exhaust. It's possible some might be some fuel from the 1st start attempt but the amount makes me wonder if it wasn't mostly oil smoke. I'm relatively new to the BMW camp (bought my first BMW last year - '18 GS, but I thought this problem was resolved many years ago by pinning the piston rings so that oil doesn't get by when the engine is shut down and on the side stand. This is the first time I have seen this issue and have never seen it on my GS (same 1200 LC motor). Is this uncommon?
