Having found out that removing the cradle is a bit of a chore and might want to use it later on...What would be a solid, economical way of mounting a smartphone to it?
I don't need power available, so no Acacia type device. Besides dual lock type velcro does anyone make an adapter bracket for the dang cradle? I really don't have much room for a stand alone ram mount as PO installed Sargent seat heat controllers on bars.

If you buy a spare cover for your cradle then you can bolt/glue any smartphone mount you like to it and it will lock into the cradle the same way a Navigator does. I used double sided tape to secure a cheap sat nav to a spare cover I bought on Ebay and it worked really well and was securely held by the cradle.

This is a Chinese adaptor for the Nav 5 cradle, I haven’t tried it, but it’s an option.
