It's going through customs.

2022 R1250RS. LightWhite with all the goodies.
I love my R1200R and if I were a splurging fool, I'd keep it, too. But already 4 bikes and don't want to bring my spouse to the brink, and because I actually want to get back to 2.5.

Why?
Wind blast protection is basically nearly impossible on the R. I tried 5 different screens and still have gotten head cranking helmet yanking tornadoes.

I've removed some of my interchangeable farkles and they are ready to bolt on.

One Q: which handlebar risers are good? Hope there are some that don't require new cables or other deep surgery. I just want a bit of a lift to ease my aged cervical spine.

Swapping bars would be great, but I've decided to trade in my R1200R. I kind of doubt the dealer wants a 12R with RS bars.

I wonder what the cost would be to buy a used set of 12R bars, and would there be cable/fairing-interference problems.

Someone here must have done it.

As far as bar risers, I ordered the Helibar ones from Revzilla and they showed up scratched so I returned them. What I didn't like is they used Allen bolts not torx. I'd rather stay consistent with stock.

I got the Hornigs instead and I think they're finished better. You'll want the clutch line extender if you don't want to reroute the hydraulic line. It was easy to install.

Now that the dust has settled, the RS is in my grubby little hands and the 12 is at my dealer. I got Helibars for the RS, so far they are a good solution.

Although it would be interesting to know what a 12R control set would feel like, bars etc.
