How did they say back in the medieval days: "The forum is dead. Long live the Forum!"

So glad to see that there is some life in the RS community. Thanks to Holger for taking the initiative to get this going.

Short presentation: 53 year old biker from Sweden with a BIG interest for technology in general ( work as mech engineer/designer) and have a place in my heart for everything on 2 wheels. Been with my 1200RS (black/grey) for 2 years and counting.
Made some mods with avant + mudsling, BOS desert fox exhaust, MRA vario screen. home-made adapter to merge Garmin Zumo GPS with BMW OEM basepart for the Navi5.

I also made an aluminium adapter plate to be able to fit a GIVi Monokey top box to the bike. I manufacture these and have sold approx 50 of them, mostly to members in the old forum.

Will do a write-up in the tour segment on our upcoming trip to Isle of Man, starting in a weeks time.
Nice to see some of the "old farts" around here to, and I will try to be more active here, than I was in the now dead old forum.
Hope we can recapitulate most of the very good old threads. Just give it some time.

It'll be fun to hear about your IOM experience. We were there for the Manx GP two years ago and we'll be going again this August. I have a friend who has been going there every year for the past 20+ years for the Manx. I tell people that if you are a motorcycle fan you really should try to get to the IOM at least once!

I actually think I would like the Manx TT better as old school race bikes are more fun to look at and hear the sound from.
It will not be this year, but maybe plan for a revisit next year in August?
Suzuki XR96 is one ofd my all time favorites, (or any vintage endurance/race bike) and seeing those go full throttle would be fantastic!
