Saw that. Didn’t know what to think. I remember a company coming up with a similar concept of the leak stop being bonded to the inside of the tire, but I can’t find it anywhere now. I suppose the idea didn’t really catch on for motorcycle applications. That said, none of them really do anything you can’t just as easily fix with a plug kit and portable air compressor.

One drawback of these gloops is they might seal around said article and then it might move about as the tyre flexes creating a bigger problem the gloop is no longer able to seal. I have used tyre gloop but from an aerosol after a puncture and removing the article. I think I would rather know the tyre has been holed and then make a judgement call on whether to repair or replace. I have used the aerosol gloop twice and forgot about it after getting home, then ridden on the tyre until it wore out. Apparently, I didn't die.

I once used Slime when I got a air leak on my Zero a few years ago. After I arrived home I noticed that the Slime was leaking out of the nail hole. So I plugged the tire. Bad decision. After about 5 miles the plug came out of the tread when the Slime acted like a lubricant and the tire went flat again. What I had to do was to thoroughly clean the hole with alcohol, roughen it up again and then install a new plug. That worked well until the tire wore out. Upon removing the tire, I there was not much of a mess and it was easy to clean the wheel rim with a wet rag. After that experience, I decided to no longer carry a bottle of Slime on my bikes and just stick to a compact plugger system.
