So I managed to get an RS over here. It took some time and when it arrived everyone wanted it lol ... So I do have the bar risers, the touring windshield, the rear fender, and the saddle bags and top bag ... I spent about forty years with a R.../5 restomod. It turns 50 in 2023. And yes the new RS is quite a difference. I have been a little clumsy with the fly by wire and other things. But I will get hang of it ....

Congrats! Tell us more. Is it 1200 or 1250?

Mr. 36654; I bought the fender at the shop here in denver with the Puig touring wind screen, bar risers, tank bag, saddle bags and top bag. They were able to get this stuff fairly quick. I guess I could have got black bags but went with white. Interestingly they have no effect on the handling at any reasonable speed or maneuver. So I leave them on a lot. But I can pull them off and put on a back pack for a more sport bike sort of thing if needed.

Will be interesting to see if they stick with the RS but upgrade to the 1250. In the rest of the UK, the R1200RT is now ubiquitous for marked traffic police, after Yamaha stopped making the FJR1300. You still see a few FJRs about but they are long in the tooth now.

So I wasn't out of my mind ... lol ... I have to admit that i was attracted to the RS for it's decent weight for a 1250. It seems the RT has gotten a little heavy. Theoretically I should be able to ride longer into my old age on a lighter bike. Plus there were a couple of white BMWs in my history that influenced this sale, long story but you get the idea ...
