Hi everyone, im Tony from Bristol, currently ride a ktm 990 smt, had for 2 years and now looking for something else. So i have found a 21059650 plate r1200rs from a dealer whos also given me a good px value on my ktm.

Milage on the rs is 33k, which i know is high, it has a full BMW service history with 6 stamps, but, should i be conerned with this milage or no? Also comes with no luggage whis is a concern as i want to tour soon. Its the sports se model in white and blue and looks amazing. So any advice would be great, also on the best place to find good luggage. Thanks in advance.

33,000 miles is not high mileage.
Is it a 2016 or 2017?

Welcome Tony. You mistyped the bike year (21059650). I suspect it is 2015. I wouldn't be concerned about the mileage especially as it has a full BMW service history, however I would check that it has had the fork oil service which is suppoosed to be done at 18K but many riders leave it much longer. There was also a recall for the clutch slave cylinder on some bikes of that vintage. There are many threads on this forum about luggage that you may want to review but be quick cos this forum may disappear on 7th May due to the hosting not being renewed. Hi thanks for this, yes its a 2015 65 plate, i will check these items you mentioned, although you would like to think that as it has a full Beemer history they would have done it.

Sounds like you have a "lovely lupin" there. Great bikes but the 1250 is of course even better
The BMW luggage is actually quite good and suits the bike. Others to consider are SW-Mototech and the usual Givi.

As others have mentioned, 33,000 miles is nothing! As long as you follow the maintenance guidelines (pretty much just oil changes and valve adjustments, which are really easy to do yourself) these bikes will last forever! I have a 1997 R1100R, a 19 year older predecessor to the R1200 family, and it's got 280,000 miles on the clock! On the original engine, transmission, etc! I only recently replaced the ORIGINAL rubber brake lines with SS. Seriously, the only thing that will kill these bikes is improper maintenance and bad drivers. Enjoy!
