I'm currently bolting together a ride to/in Switzerland for next June. I've got 5 nights booked at a campsite nr Interlaken with a view to riding a few of the alpine passes (Grimsel, Furka etc) before dropping down to Venice and working my way back home via the French riviera and up through France via Grenoble (route de Naploeon). |

What will be your entry point to Switzerland? If coming from the north past Zurich & Lucerne then this area is worth exploring on your way to Interlaken.

You can then ride parallel with the Rhine, either through the Vosges in France or Black Forest in Germany. Cross into CH near Basel or the southern end of the B500 at Koblenz (the Swiss one).

Stay in Montreux probably better scenery than Interlaken. If you follow the advice to "Cross into CH near Basel or the southern end of the B500 at Koblenz (the Swiss one)." then enjoy the L roads parallelish to the B500 which can be too busy at weekends. I live a mile from that border which makes the Black Forest where I go for a short burn or lunch hour and a half! |
