Leovince R1200RS pipe on an R1250RS - it fits!

Hi all, I bought an R1200RS Leovince carbon pipe from eBay recently. I based the purchase on the general opinion that it fits the R1250RS. Well the good news it that it does indeed fit although you do need to purchase a cover for the exhaust valve mechanism as the 1250 doesn't have one. I purchased a carbon one from The Carbon King for £41 delivered (brilliant next day service from them!) As the cover is meant to fit the 1200GS it needed slightly modifying for it to fit perfectly but I'm really happy with the final result. As an alternative you could buy an original plastic item for about £20 from a Dealer which will fit straight on. |

Wow... I Just bought a new R1250RS last week, my fist new bike since 1977... I had the 2016 R1200r and it had been fitted with the Dominator exhaust pipe, very smart looking and a very sexy sound.... I was told the R1250 exhaust pipe was a larger diameter and the Dominator would not fit ? maybe I need to look closer before I sell the Dominator.... jp |

I bought the Euro 3 version for the 1200RS because it's smaller, sleeker (to me) and still has the easily removable baffle. Sounds and looks great on my 21.

I could be wrong, but I don't believe there were any changes from the 1200 to the 1250 that would prevent a 1200 exhaust fitting on the 1250. All the mount points are the same.

Like the OP, I just fitted a Leo Vince Factory S to my 1250RS. It is the Euro 4 version intended for the 2017/18 1200RS. I went with the stainless version, which looks awesome with this bike. Beautiful finish and perfect OEM fit. I like the tapered front end as opposed to the squared off shape of Arrow, Dominator and the like. EM Moto has discounted pricing in the low $400 range, so cheaper than SC Project, Remus and Akro, but same quality (in my opinion).
