Hi
"question" , is the shaft drive on the R1200RS exactly the same as on the GS1200 and RT1200? reason for question as looking for a rear hugger for my new bike and the ones advertised for the GS look the same and are lot cheaper????? had a look on line and cant find any reference

The casing is the same (it's why we have three blank holes from a gs ugly hugger) but may be different because of tyre size or wheel off-set. Cannot remember which bike, but nippynorman sent me the 'wrong one' by mistake (easily replaced, great customer service) and it put the hugger off centre compared to the tyre/number plate.
On the old forum someone did fit the little rear gs rear unit (A4 size below number plate rather than a hugger) and just ground away the GS emblem.

If you buy a Puig the offset is adjustable, there is three screws on the top of the hugger, these when slackened allow the hugger to move left or right for alignment,

I am fitting my Puig on my 1250 GS, its the same one according to suppliers.
