Electronics » Problem with Denali Sound Bomb

Replaced the stock horn a few months ago with the Denali that I got from Revzilla along with the horn wiring connector for BMW. Swap was breeze thanks to the picture Brian63 posted. Seemed to work fine till I recently was cut off, hit the horn and it stopped blaring after maybe 2 seconds and would not sound again until I powered the bike completely off and back on again. Experimented with this many time only to get the same result. What I found interesting is this would only happen when the bike is running, if I have just the keyless turned on, engine not running it will blare all day long. I'm assuming it's something with the CANbus not liking the extra electrical pull, but who knows.. I've since put the stock horn back on, not comfortable riding without a reliable horn.

it's a load issue the electronic fuse activates.
As per my later note on the installation
I have since used the existing horn circuit to switch the coil on a relay with fused supply
Direct from the battery.I can post a wiring diagram if you need

Live fused supply from battery positive to load in connconnection on relay.
From load connection out to positive connection
on sound bomb.
Ground connection from frame or battery negative to negative connection on sound bomb.
Existing horn connection to coil connection on the relay
